The Supply Room

Welcome to the supply room, so called because you get supply rooms in offices don’t you, so it makes sense doesn’t it?

Put frankly, there’s a lot of stuff that has no right to be on the site, simply because it’s either too bad or too old. But I don’t quite have the heart to delete it all, so I’ve stuck it here, in a barely visible dankly lit corner of the site. You might get some cheap thrill out of it though, maybe. Somehow.

Two unlreated clips

They went up on the site at the same time, so will be coupled in my mind.
Harry Hill (1.6mb, mov) wonders what Hitler might have done in an office situation, and Gervais gets a run down on “Britain’s Favourite Comedian” (8.5mb, mov)

The Odyssey of Rob

Some people just have to see for themselves...

The Stuart Foot Page

As successful as it was funny, this page gives the follow-up story to Stuart Foot, the interviewee who never had a chance back in the days of series 1.

The Prediction Page

It seemed as though not as many people cared about predicting what might happen in the special as I’d thought.

David Brent’s FA Cup Guide

Back in 2002, Ricky Gervais recorded a some special advice for the manager’s whose teams had made it to the FA Cup final. You might notice some old material being recycled here, but then again you might not!

The Memorabilia Page

It seems that whenever something good comes along nowadays, it unavoidably comes attached with it’s fair amount of needless rubbish. Don’t take that as a description of this site, because I’ve never tried to get money off you for it. Well, maybe I have, but, well...

The Phone

The highly unpopular sequel to the Stapler section, lacking in charm, wit and originality. But with added hammer.

What happened when I went to HMV

In a sense, the one page on this site that has the least to do with The Office, but it’s a life affirming and humorous tale.

The Marcus S Payne discovery page

Way back when in early 2002 I guess, this page was a revelation of breaking news, now resurrected here as a reminder of what life was like when the second series was the stuff of a madman’s dreams...

The pages that could have been

I’ve never had trouble thinking of ideas for my humble little site, just good ones. But here’s a look at some of the stuff you’ll never be seeing unless I start getting paid for this little ol' hobby o' mine.

Why the name Wernham Hogg?

A page trying to answer why the company was called Wernham Hogg. Possible answers so far include: it’s a reference to German Werner Herzog, it’s an anagram of...

How right is Gareth?

A detailed look at how accurate some of the ideas put forward by Gareth about war and stuff are.

The complete episodes in easily downloadable format

Although some users with high speed access would probably enjoy such a feature, I like this site, and would hate to see it end with a simple court order.

A look at Slough’s Nightlife

Oh, you need a reason why I didn’t do this?

Could dropping a stapler out of an office window ever be fatal?

To be honest with you, I did find out the answer to this question, and I’d rather not talk about it here. It still hurts.

Are you David Brent?

Dave Gorman-inspired attempt to find any businessmen working in offices who are unfortunate enough to share David Brent’s name.

Kettle over pub throwing competition

Just how hard is it to throw a kettle over a pub while your mate waits round the back to confirm it? Delayed for the moment.

The negative effects of The Office on society
As much as The Office is a humorous, and often touching, look at office life and unfulfilled lives, it has arguably had a detrimental effect on those who watch it. This page was going to detail why the show has done more harm than good. For instance, never throw a kettle over a pub, drop a stapler out of a window, go round the country’s nightclubs looking for leather-clad couples who own motorbikes with sidecars...
What’s it like to work for a paper merchant in Slough for 12 years, 8 of those as manager?
Work in progress.
