Why on earth would you do that?

Mission Statement

In the first episode of The Office, we clearly see Gareth’s stapler set in jelly. A spiteful task performed by Tim. My mission, which I did chose to accept, was to research just how easy it was to do such a thing. (with apologies to Mackenzie Crook, who doesn’t need people reminding him of this sort of thing any more, although with the money he’s surely getting from the show...)

The Equipment

It’s a simple fact from the past times, that you can’t set a stapler in jelly without first having:

1. A stapler

2. Some Jelly

3. Some water (not illustrated), as per the instructions on the back of the jelly packet

4. Some sort of mould to put the jelly/stapler mixture in

Got all of that?

Good.

So what now?

First, place the stapler in the empty mould, so that you can pour the jelly around it.

Then do all that boring stuff with cutting up the jelly, adding boiling water, it’s on the back of the jelly packet, you don’t have to be told here.

The jelly mixture must now be poured into the mold around the stapler.

And stick the whole lot in the fridge to set.

I can’t be bothered, just tell me what happens!

Alright, calm down. So that those who can be bothered don’t find out, the mission findings are all on this page.
